Each physician has a nurse and a medical assistant assigned to them.  Role differences are as follows:

An MA assists in the office with patients when the physician is in.  They call in prescriptions, prepare sample medications for patients and are responsible for completing patient medication assistance forms (indigent forms).  MA's help in sending out "normal" letters to patients on tests/labs that were ordered and reviewed by the physician.

The RN/LPN is reponsible for reviewing testing/labs and preparing charts for the physician to review.  They essentially take all patient calls and address those accordingly.
