12th Annual Women's Health Initiative - Friday, October 17, 2007 at Horizons Conference Center
More information to follow
The "11th Annual Women's Health Initiative" took place on Friday, October 13,
2006, at Horizons Conference Center. It was a fun-filled day, with almost
400 women in attendance. This was our largest turnout yet. Thank you
to the committee members and attendees for making the day so wonderful!

The Objective of the Women's Health Initiative is to
provide community education to addressing the following issues:
- Become your own health advocate where heart disease is
concerned
|
- How to recognize and what to do about heart symptoms
|
- Questions to ask their physicians
and how to become more proactive in describing their symptoms and heart
history
|
- More information on ways of
reducing their risk factors
|
- Access to new information about
existing diagnostic techniques and how they work in women
|
- Physicians need to provide
information and offer non-invasive testing options for the prevention,
detection and treatment of heart disease in women
