The Michigan CardioVascular Institute Diagnostic Centers are located at the Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland Offices. Our caring staff and specialized technicians provide testing in a warm and relaxing environment. Each patient receives personal attention at our one-stop diagnostic centers where testing can be scheduled and completed in the same day.

MCVI provides a wide range of testing to assist in determining the cause and treatment of cardiac diseases. Having these options available allows us to give our patients the highest level of diagnostic care possible.

We are pleased to announce that MCVI’s Vascular Lab and Echocardiography Lab recently received accreditation by The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories and the The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Labratories. The accreditation is in the areas of:

MCVI gives same day service in dealing with priority exams such as cardiac clearance. We use only "State of the Art" equipment in the diagnostic lab.

We are able to perform:

Gated SPECT Studies
Multiple Gated Acquistion Studies (correlation of wall motion and ejection fraction of right & left ventricles)
Myocardium Viability Studies

Benefits to patients are:

Multiple tests can be done with one visit
Testing times are short (for example, a nuclear tests takes 3 hours and a stress echo usually takes 45 minutes)
Most of our testing requires the patient to be NPO for only 2 hours prior to the exam time, which is especially helpful for diabetic patients.

The MCVI testing center offers one-day testing for patients that have more than one type of test ordered. If a patient is scheduled for a stress test and echocardiogram, then the echo can be completed while waiting for the stress test to finish. This makes duration of the visit much shorter. Our doctors will call or fax the results of the test to the referring physician on the same day as the test.
