Study Purpose:
(AVAIL CLS/CRT) Clinical Investigation

Objective:
To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Stratos LV and Protos DR/CLS pacemakers and to determine the clinical benefit of biventricular pacing over standard RV pacing in patients who have had an AV node ablation to treat permanent (more than 30 days) symptomatic atrial fibrillation with poorly controlled rapid ventricular rates or persistent (more than 7 days), symptomatic atrial fibrillation with poorly controlled rapid ventricular rates and inability to restore a normal heart rhythm. The study will also evaluate changes in your heart’s function, size, structure, wall motion, and valves. Additionally, the study will collect information about your quality of life and ability to exercise over time.
